I.C.E. Training Company Trains Full House at 2014 SWAT Round-Up International Orlando, Florida – I.C.E. Training Company sent a team of instructors to the 2014 SWAT Round-Up International competition and training event in Orlando, FL November 9-14th to teach both pistol and rifle sessions. SWAT Round-Up is an opportunity for operators across the globe to come together to learn from one another.
Over the years, several certified CFS Instructors have taught with Rob Pincus as I.C.E. Training Company Adjuncts at SRI.
The Combat Focus® pistol session was run by Senior Instructor Barret Kendrick of Bearco Training. Kendrick’s curriculum focused on the Combat Focus intuitive shooting program that is designed to help the student become a more efficient shooter in dynamic critical incidents. Deryck Poole of Echo-5 Training taught Combat Focus Carbine session, which applies the principals of the Combat Focus Shooting Program to the world of semi-automatic rifles. “This was my second year teaching at SWAT Round-Up International as part of the I.C.E team and I was again impressed by the large number of officers came out to train CFS and CFC with us,” said Deryck Poole of Echo-5 Training. “Given all the training options available, it’s a huge compliment that the officers continue to fill our teaching blocks year after year.”
Every year, I.C.E. Courses at SWAT Round Up are well attended. This year approximately 80 attendees participated in at least one of the 4 sessions.
Since 2007, I.C.E. Training adjunct Combat Focus Shooting instructors have assisted with training sessions at SWAT Round-Up International, including Jeremiah Miles and Omari Broussard. Nationally renowned instructors conducted this year’s training of 80 participants; no other venue offers an equal gathering of distinguished experts. “Rob and his staff are consummate professionals and their training classes help contribute to the success of SWAT Round-Up International,” said Patti Russell, Education, Training and Administration Coordinator of SWAT Round-Up International. “It’s honor to be asked to teach at SWAT Round Up every year,” said Rob Pincus, owner of I.C.E. Training Company and the developer of the Combat Focus® Shooting Program. “It is also an honor to work with the Combat Focus Shooting team on these ranges with SWAT from around the world.
Combat Focus Shooting is an intuitive program designed to help students become a more efficient shooter. The instructor development program started in 2005, is a graduate program in defensive firearms training and is often compared to college coursework by attendees.There are currently over 40 instructors across the United States, that actively teaches CFS courses throughout the year.
