Rob Pincus is spending the week at the Gander Mountain Academy in Lakeville, MN with staff instructors from all six GMA Locations. Rob has worked closely with the leadership of these world class training centers since 2011 and has certified several of their staff as Defensive Firearms Coaches through I.C.E. Training Company. This week, 10 candidates are completing the Combat Focus® Shooting Instructor Development course.
The CFSID Course is an academically intense 5 day program that offers deep insight into the concepts, principals and teaching methods used in the intuitive defensive shooting program. At the end of the 5 day program, the candidates will complete a teaching demonstration and a written test in the hopes of becoming Certified Combat Focus® Shooting Instructors.

Historically, CFSID Courses have a slightly higher than 50% certification rate on the last day of the course. If candidates do not achieve certification this week, they will have the opportunity to continue studying the course material and re-test at a later date. “Gander Mountain Academy has an incredibly professional and well run operation, I am proud to have Combat Focus® Shooting being added to their menu of courses and confident that their staff is up to the challenge,” said Pincus.
