Gun Storage: Parents should ASK.
The “ASK Campaign” became a weaponized political tool and far too many gun owners react negatively to what should be seen as opportunity to demonstrate responsibility and have positive conversations

I’ve been wanting to get back into producing my own audio content and leapt at the opportunity to record a conversation with two friends who are spending time thinking and talking about important issues that affect the firearms community, Mike Sodini and Maj Toure. The unscripted and unplanned dialogue revolved around the work that both men are doing to educate and raise awareness about responsibility, tragedy prevention, legal gun ownership and the stigma that can accompany gun ownership. Maj is the founder of Black Gun Matter and Mike recently launched a non-profit organization intended to collaborate with mental health professionals to address a variety of issues.
This year’s PDN Training Tour offered the most diverse collection of courses we’ve ever offered. One of the more unique courses that was taught in a few locations across the country was I.C.E. Training’s Two Person Armed Defense. A Team Tactics Course specifically designed for the everyday person who spends a lot of time with other people who are armed. It is not a fantasy camp class where students pretend to be SWAT Team Members or perform bounding overwatch across open ranges with burning cars and smoke grenades creating great photo ops, but no practical value.
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve broadcast several live training videos through PDN and my own social media accounts. The technology to bring live training videos, especially straight from actual classes, opens up a plethora of opportunities to share important imformation in a timely manner or in situations that a traditional production route can’t support.
